What each scan checks
The accessibility scan
One page, checked at desktop, tablet and phone sizes against the rules in WCAG 2.1 levels A and AA and Section 508. Each issue is rated critical, serious, moderate or minor.
The SEO scan
Up to 50 pages, each audited on desktop and mobile, then scored out of 100 in seven categories:
- Technical SEO
- Canonical tags, meta robots, hreflang, redirect chains, HTTPS, mixed content and the page language.
- On-page signals
- Titles, meta descriptions, heading order, image alt text, internal links, social sharing tags and crawl depth, plus author and freshness signals.
- Performance
- Server response time, page weight, render-blocking files, lazy loading, compression, and how fast the page loads, settles and responds.
- Structured data
- Finds your structured data, flags broken markup and unknown types, and checks the properties each type needs.
- Mobile
- The viewport tag, tap target sizes and sideways scrolling on a phone-sized screen.
- Accessibility
- Contrast, link text, form labels and ARIA: the accessibility issues that also get in the way of search.
- Crawlability
- Your sitemap and robots.txt, status codes and broken internal links, orphan pages, and thin or duplicate content.
We scan our own site first
We ran the accessibility scan on the sieveme.com home page on October 19, 2026. At desktop, tablet and phone sizes it found no issues, and the page passed 24 rules at each size.
A clean scan is a good start, not the finish line: automated checks cannot judge everything, so a full review still needs a person.

Is Siftlight really free?
Yes. Both scans are free with a sieveme account, and the full report is yours to read. There is nothing to buy.
Why do you need my mobile number?
Your number and a one-time code are how you sign in. A verified number keeps the scanners free for everyone.
Will a scan slow my site down?
It is built not to. The SEO crawl honors your robots.txt rules and crawl delay and loads one page at a time.
Which pages does the SEO scan cover?
It starts at the address you enter and follows your internal links, up to 50 pages, auditing each one on desktop and mobile.
Does a clean scan mean my site is accessible?
Not on its own. Automated checks find many common issues but not all of them. Some, such as whether alt text describes its image, need a person to judge.
What should I do with the findings?
