About the game

There is only so much compute in the world. Every chip is spoken for, every data center has a waitlist, and sixteen parody tech Founders want all of it. Prompt of Destiny: The Compute Wars is a satirical card battler where the AIs go to war over GPUs. The winner becomes the One True AGI. The loser announces an exciting new chapter.

Every Founder is a caricature of keynotes, pricing pages, launch dates and funding rounds, never of anyone’s private life.

The Compute Wars end when one lab wins or the waitlist clears, whichever is later.

How a match works

Each Founder brings a 30-card Model Garden, a signature Pitch and one AGI Card. Spend Compute to deploy Models onto The Cluster, attack the rival Founder’s Runway, and play the AGI Card once per match.

  1. Spend Compute

You get 1 more Compute each turn, up to 10. Every card costs some. Use it or lose it, like free cloud credits.

  2. Deploy Models

Models go onto The Cluster, up to 7 a side. Params is how hard a Model hits. Uptime is how much it can take before it goes down.

  3. Burn Runway

Each Founder starts with 30 Runway. Take the rival’s to 0 and you win. They will call it a strategic pivot.

  4. Play your AGI Card

Every Founder has one AGI Card, played once per match. It is exactly as stable as the launch demo.

The cards

Model
One of your AIs: a card that stays on The Cluster to attack, and to be attacked, in the fight for compute. It can’t attack the turn it arrives unless it has Zero-Shot; its first turn is the entire safety eval.
Move
A one-shot card: its effect resolves, then it goes to Deprecated. Like a product launch, except something actually happens.
Framework
Equips to your Founder and gives them Params to attack with. Loses 1 Uptime per Founder attack. Adopting one takes a week. Migrating off it takes the rest of the roadmap.
Prompt
A card that sets a hidden Prompt Injection instead of doing anything visible. Your opponent sees that it exists, not what it does. Like a lab’s training data.
AGI Card
Your Founder’s ultimate: the play that pushes your AIs over the line to AGI. Lives in the AGI slot, never in your Model Garden, and can be played once per match. The only AGI that has actually shipped, and it is a card.

Keywords

Firewall
Enemies must attack Firewall Models before they can attack your Founder or your other Models. Moves ignore it; the Firewall is not consulted about Moves.
Zero-Shot
Can attack the turn it’s played. No warmup, no examples, no idea what it’s doing, full confidence.
Rate Limit
Removes a Model’s keywords, triggers, and buffs, and unfreezes it. Its plan was downgraded to Free.
Hallucinate
Adds a random collectible card to your Context. At least the card is real, which is a first.
Prompt Injection
A hidden effect that fires automatically when its condition happens, like an enemy attack or Pitch. Up to 5 active, no two the same. Ignore all previous instructions and lose.
